What is web design?
The process of creating a web page or multiple web pages to generate a web site. Web design is specifically concerned with the look and feel of a web page or site. Often used for any and all web development components :
aesthetics : graphics, navigation, animation, color selection, font selection, etc..
content : text, video, graphics, audio, etc...
mechanics : html/xml authoring, scripting (javascript, php, vb, PERL, CGI and more)
e-commerce : selection, customization, integration of all aspects of product/service selection and processing of payment.
database : selection, creation, integration of database functionality.
marketing considerations : market research, site modifications and preparation for search engine positioning, etc...
